Central Square shopping centre in Altona Victoria has undergone a much deserved make over. Architecture HQ had a clear vision for Central Square new fresh look. Some of these ideas were not easy to achieve. Engineer Ken Parker from SPA Consulting contacted Bluelab Design looking for a High output LED, suspended extruded system with Narrow optics – ETAP Lighting’s E4 system ticked all the boxes. ETAP’s unique “DUAL.LENS” technology controls both Glare prevalent in LED products and the beam spread/angle. This flexible system has Wide, Narrow, Asymmetric and Double Asymmetric optics and 4 different lumen packages: 2000, 3000, 4000 or 6000 lumen per metre.
SPA Consulting designed the lighting using the E4001/LED2N040DE 2m runs joined 4000K 2204Lm per metre with a 12 degree beam lens. A master E4 per row incorporated a daylight sensor with Dali dimmable gear and the adjoining fixtures in the run were slaves. Run of 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 7m and 28m had only 1 power feed per run and integral control gear.
Etap’s simple clip in installation system made easy work for Contractors on site.
Architecture HQ wanted to see a classic Square extruded fixture. Bluelab Design suggested a special Aluminium folded cover to sit over the E4. With every challenge presented in Central Square, Bluelab Design were able to assist and overcome the problems.
