MECCA Flagship store in Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne CBD recently opened it’s doors to the public.

The opulent store is located in the heritage listed ‘David Jones’ building.  Care was needed in design and planning to protect the iconic 1911 Building originally built for Buckley and Nun’s department store.  MECCA’s new flagship store includes retail makeup, training areas, hair salon, nails salon and makeup application services throughout the 3 levels.

MECCA has a clear shop branding that carries their colourful image store to store.  MECCA Flagship store is a one stop beauty shops with no compromises.  All the Big design features and beauty features are on show.  ETAP Lighting offered the perfect solution for Emergency and Exit Lighting that balances the heritage listing and meticulous design.  The K9 series Exits and Emergencies are the smallest compliant evacuation system in Australia that sits unobtrusively.

The old 1911 circa building has iconic ceilings throughout the upper levels that are under heritage protection.  The K9 Mini Emergencies are the size of a $2 dollar coin, with high ceiling optics sit hidden along the decorative ceiling tending to compliance silently.

The K9, like all ETAP emergencies and exits come with a Stand alone EST+ self-testing and self-diagnosing system for easy maintenance.  ETAP are the only evacuation product in Australia to offer a self-testing and diagnosing feature making maintenance easy.

The K9 Exits were carefully selected in different colored housing to match the different themes within the store – White, Grey and Black.  A mix of wire suspended, wall mounted and recessed Exit are throughout the store.

 

 

 

 

The heritage glass side entrance has been carefully designed with a Custom brass housing with a K9R432 sitting snug inside. Bluelab’s custom brass housing has helped protect the heritage integrity above the decorative doors.
