ETAP Lighting K9 Exits with EST+.
Heritage Building Her Majesty’s Theatre, set in regional Victoria’s gold rush town of Ballarat, is a homage to the gold rush era’s opulence. Ballarat enjoyed great wealth from large gold findings in the area. Many beautiful Victorian Building are still lining the streets today.
Her Majesty’s Theatre restoration was lead by Conservation Studio in Melbourne, JBA Engineers providing Electrical and Services Engineering.
Modernization of any heritage building needs sympathetic and considered design. The K9 series by ETAP is discreetly providing Evacuation lighting in many notable European Buildings. Selected for their IF award winning discreet design. The K9 Exits are unobtrusive in a setting packed with heritage features.
Her Majesty’s Theatre included black Exits with Green on Black plexiglass pictograms as is the norm for theatre lighting in Australia. The difference with ETAP’s Black pictograms is the edges are masked. It is common to get light spill from the edges of of blade Exits, this can be incredibly distracting in a theatre setting, effecting the patrons experience. ETAP’s K9 ultra slim blade Exits have no spill lighting on their black pictograms.
The K9’s were supplied with stand alone self-test and self-diagnosing EST+ to provide the easiest and best testing and maintenance outcomes. Read more on EST+ testing..
